Ted and Melissa Miller’s Delta Dairy incorporated the innovative use of Halter's virtual fence system nearly a year ago. Come out to the farm to experience firsthand how this cutting-edge technology works — a wireless collar system that allows for automated grazing management. Control grazing boundaries with ease through a mobile app, enabling livestock to navigate and graze independently- very similar to the dog wireless fence, except with more capabilities for cattle.

In Louisiana, virtual fence offers versatile applications that make it ideal for various landscapes, including silvopasture, rangeland, and marsh areas. This system promotes efficient grazing practices while reducing labor requirements, all at a surprisingly affordable cost.

Come and see the virtual fence in action, ask questions, and witness the impressive grass and forage being cultivated for Delta Dairy's 400+ cattle herd. This half-day pasture walk is hosted by Louisiana GLCI and is an excellent opportunity for farmers, ranchers, and anyone interested in innovative agricultural practices.
