Profitable Farm Systems with Daniel Salatin

Daniel Salatin of Polyface Farms is the son of famous advocate and self-proclaimed “lunatic” farmer Joel Salatin. He manages dayto- day operations at Polyface. For the third year, Local Cooling Farms will host Daniel Salatin of Polyface Farms in Virginia. In this day-long seminar, Daniel will share the techniques of Polyface’s profitable farming systems, operations, practices, farm product economics, rotational grazing methods, marketing strategies and more. The goal of the seminar is to help Louisiana farmers and property owners build healthy farms of the future that have both pastures and profits. Grant Estrade will also add to Daniel’s presentation with discussion of on-farm composting techniques and nutrient cycling.
