About the Event
A forage conference will be held on Friday, December 2 in Alexandria. This conference is being sponsored by the Louisiana Forage and Grassland Council (LFGC) and the Louisiana Grazing Lands Conservation Initiative (LGLCI). The meeting site will be the Hurricane Evacuation Center, located at the south end of the campus at LSU-A in Alexandria. The campus is located south of Alexandria off of Highway 71.
This conference held in Alexandria, LA will feature three guest speakers, including Dr. Alan Franzluebbers, USDA-ARS in Raleigh, NC. Subjects discussed will include weed management, soil carbon, and carbon sequestration in grazing systems, with time for questions and answers regarding carbon sequestration.
Registration and viewing of commercial exhibits will begin at 8:15 a.m. The meeting will begin at 9:00 a.m. and conclude at 1:00 p.m. Registration will be $20 for those that pre-register online and $25 for walk-ups. All payments will be taken at the…
