Come join us on Friday, February 23 to learn a LOT about composting! Grant Estrade has been composting for over 15 years, and he will lead our workshop to teach us all about understanding the challenges of material handling,
knowing more of the science behind composting
knowing where to start with composting on small and large scale,
knowing what equipment is needed to create and spread compost, and knowing the costs and benefits of composting

After the workshop, stick around for a multi-species farm tour at Local Cooling Farm hosted by Grant and Kate Estrade. Grant and Kate are both well-sought national educators.They have pasture raised chickens, pasture and forest raised pork, grass-fed beef, as well as wild-foraged goats. They sell their products at their store in Metairie, LA called Laughing Buddha Market. Grant has experience as a speaker and instructor with Joel Salatin and Stockman Grass Farmer. Kate, as well, has taken part in sharing and presenting at the Louisiana Women in Ag Conference. This farm tour is included in your ticket price if you are already registered for the composting workshop or you can register for the farm tour alone. Please no late arrivals, tour will begin promptly at 2:30.
