Coastal Prairie Burn Workshop

On April 20th, 2018 the Louisiana Grazing Lands Coalition in partnership with the USDA NRCS is hosting a coastal prairie prescribed burning workshop. You will hear from several very knowledgeable speakers and learn about the effects of prescribing burning on the ecosystem and plant community. Speakers will discuss benefits of properly planned prescribed burning such as, controlling undesirable woody plants, improving forage quality for livestock and improving wildlife habitat. This is a free event.
